"Central Park Record Cold March"

Earlier this year, after showing at ArtExpo New York 2007, my wife Sheila and I were stretching out our last full day in New York on a record cold early-March day that peaked in the mid to upper teens. I was so intent on experiencing this snow covered treat of park and quiet and cityscape upon my typically roasted central Texas eyes I almost got both of us frozen over, probably to be found by fellow tourists in the spring. Or maybe one of the joggers in the painting :-)

My son had visited this same area of Central Park the year before in November, and it was an extra treat to visit the same general area in another time of year.

There is for me a true wonderment at the co-existence of such great nature in such a great city.

I also chronicled, in some of my very first newsletters, our experience of showing at ArtExpo and being in New York, and will be posting those 5 or so posts onto this blog in the near future.
